1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant

We’re recruiting 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of primary schools on the Wirral from September 2026.

Whether you’re an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking for a new challenge with transferable experience working with children, we’d love to hear from you. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils on an individual basis, helping them to develop confidence, independence and achieve their full potential.

The Role

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with a range of learning needs
• Promoting children’s learning, development and wellbeing throughout the school day
• Working closely with class teachers and SEND teams to deliver personalised support
• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help them succeed both academically and socially

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or voluntary setting is desirable
• Passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• A patient, caring and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, adaptable and committed to making a positive impact
