1:1 Secondary Tutor - Halton

Location: Halton Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Ongoing

Prospero Teaching are seeking an enthusiastic 1:1 Secondary Tutor to support a learner in Halton through flexible, personalised tuition.

We are looking for an educator who can work independently, establish a strong rapport with the learner and tailor sessions to their academic needs, abilities and interests.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver structured 1:1 secondary tuition Plan lessons around individual learning targets Support progress across core subjects Adapt teaching strategies and learning materials Encourage positive engagement with education Develop confidence and independent learning skills Monitor and communicate learner progress

Requirements

Previous experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged learners Strong subject knowledge Experience delivering 1:1 support desirable Excellent communication and organisational skills Flexible, patient and learner-focused approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Right to Work in the UK Two professional child-related references
