The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with Our Lady and All Saints Catholic Multi Academy Company (OLAAS CMAC) to recruit a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant for St Andrew's Catholic Primary School.
This rewarding full-time role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil in Year 2 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The school is looking for a patient, nurturing and proactive individual who can build positive relationships and help the child access learning, develop confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.
The Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide dedicated support to a pupil with ASD in a Year 2 classroom Assist the child in accessing learning activities and following classroom routines Support the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies Encourage independence while providing appropriate guidance and reassurance Monitor progress and contribute to the child's ongoing development Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times

What We're Looking For
Previous experience working with children with ASD or additional needs is desirable Experience within a Primary School setting is advantageous A patient, caring and resilient approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team Commitment to supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
