South West/ temporary / £14.26 - 18.00 per hour

Are you have a creative, engaging and motivated approach, and are looking for a long-term SEND Teaching Assistant role where you can make a lasting impact?

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September 2026, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right SEND Teaching Assistant. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 support for students with SEMH, EBD and ADHD, promoting engagement in learning, managing behaviours positively and encouraging students to achieve their full potential throughout the school day. The school is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who is creative, engaging, motivated and committed to developing a long-term career within a specialist SEND setting.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• A minimum of 6 months' experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour
• Experience working within SEND schools, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), Alternative Provision or youth work settings
• A creative and engaging approach to supporting students with additional needs
• A motivated, patient and resilient attitude with excellent communication skills
• A genuine commitment to securing a long-term SEND Teaching Assistant position
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
