Job Description
Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a primary school in Enfield. The role starts in September, is full-time, and offers a competitive daily stipend of £90-£110 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to the pupil, helping them engage in lessons and reach their full potential.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support plans.
- Adapt learning activities, promote independence, and encourage positive behaviour.
- Build a trusting relationship with the pupil and support their academic, social, and emotional development.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally with ASD or other complex needs.
- Experience in a primary school setting.
- Strong commitment to patience, empathy, and student independence.
- Ability to commute to Enfield.
