Freelance 3D Retail Designer

Location: London-based

Contract: Freelance Outside IR35

Start: Immediate

Rate: Up to £350/day (DOE)

The Role

A well known retail design studio in London is looking for an experienced Freelance 3D Retail Designer to join its team on an immediate-start basis, supporting a range of ongoing retail and spatial design projects.

You’ll be responsible for developing high-quality 3D retail environments, from early concepts through to detailed design and presentation. The role will suit a confident designer who can work independently, manage deadlines and translate creative concepts into accurate, commercially viable retail spaces.

This is an ongoing opportunity, with the potential for a rolling contract and continued project support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop 3D retail and spatial designs from concept through to detailed design
• Produce high-quality 3D models, visuals and presentation imagery
• Interpret briefs and translate creative ideas into practical retail environments
• Work closely with designers, project teams and other stakeholders
• Produce accurate drawings and design information for project delivery
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Adapt existing designs and develop them in response to client and project requirements
• Maintain a high level of accuracy, creativity and attention to detail

Essential Experience

• Proven professional experience in 3D retail, commercial or experiential design
• Strong Cinema 4D experience is essential
• Ideally using Vectorworks, but open to AutoCAD users (provided you have the right retail design background and can demonstrate strong 3D/Cinema 4D capability)
• Excellent understanding of 3D modelling, spatial design and visualisation
• Ability to work confidently from creative briefs and technical information
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
• London-based and able to work in a London studio initially
• Software licences and suitable hardware can be provided where required.

• Up to £350/day , depending on experience

• Ongoing project work / rolling contract
• Initially full-time in the London studio then Hybrid working with 2 days from home
• Hardware and software licences can be provided if needed
