5G Deployment Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated 5G Deployment Specialist to play a key role in expanding their next-generation mobile network across Edinburgh and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for the end-to-end deployment of 5G infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of new sites and equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute the deployment of 5G network elements, including base stations, antennas, and associated backhaul infrastructure.
• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient site builds and equipment installation.
• Perform site surveys, technical assessments, and acceptance testing for new 5G deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the deployment process, ensuring network integrity.
• Ensure all deployments adhere to strict quality standards, safety regulations, and company deployment guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of deployed equipment, configurations, and network changes.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile network deployment, with specific experience in 4G/5G technologies.
• Strong understanding of radio access network (RAN) principles, hardware, and software.
• Familiarity with site acquisition, permitting processes, and civil works related to telecom infrastructure.
• Proficiency in using network testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
