7.5T Driver

Job Title: 7.5T Driver (Contract) Location: Wimbledon, London Job Type: Temporary / Contract Salary: £20.50 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, experienced 7.5T Driver for a temporary contract position operating out of our Wimbledon base. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely from South West London to a single destination, ensuring a timely drop-off.

This position operates under a Driver CPC exemption, meaning No Driver CPC is required to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Driving: Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle on assigned single-drop routes originating from Wimbledon.
• Single Drop-off & Delivery: Securely unload cargo at the designated destination point and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
• Tachograph Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with drivers' hours regulations and log journeys accurately using a digital tachograph card (if applicable).
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections, report mechanical issues immediately, and keep the vehicle clean.
• Cargo Security: Properly load, secure, and strap cargo to prevent damage during transit.

Requirements

• Licence: Valid UK Driving Licence with Category C1 entitlement (7.5-tonne). Grandfather rights accepted.
• Qualifications: Valid Digital Tachograph Card. (No CPC required).
• Experience: Proven experience driving 7.5T vehicles.
• Skills: Excellent time management, navigation skills, and physical stamina for loading/unloading goods
