Access Control / Intercom Engineer - FM Service Provider - London (Foot Mobile) - £50,000 to £52,000 - CIS or PAYE Options Available
Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in London. CBW are currently recruiting for an Access Control / Intercom Engineer to work across seven high-end residential buildings, primarily around the Canary Wharf area.
The successful candidate will have proven experience servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing access control, door entry and intercom systems within residential or commercial properties. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £52,000, overtime opportunities, and further technical training and development.
Package & Working Hours
- Working hours: 7.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday & 7.30am - 4.00pm Friday
- £160 per month travel allowance

Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on access control, door entry and intercom systems.
- Diagnosing faults and completing remedial works across a portfolio of high-end residential buildings.
- Servicing and maintaining a wide range of systems including:
- Audio and video intercom systems
- Access control systems
- Door entry systems
- Magnetic locks and electric strikes
- Proximity, fob and card access systems
- Automatic door release systems
- Gate entry systems (where applicable)
Requirements
- Proven experience working on access control, door entry and intercom systems.
- Experience carrying out PPMs, servicing, repairs and fault-finding.
- Knowledge of systems from manufacturers such as Paxton, Videx, BPT, Comelit, Hikvision, TDSi, Gallagher, Honeywell, Salto or similar.
- Strong understanding of electronic security systems and associated hardware.
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
- ECS Card or CSCS Card (preferred).
- IPAF or PASMA (advantageous but not essential).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to provide references and relevant industry qualifications.
