About the Role
Our client, a prominent force in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, is looking for a proactive and relationship-focused Account Manager to manage key customer accounts in the Southampton area. This role is pivotal in nurturing existing client relationships, driving incremental sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be the primary point of contact for your accounts, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that align with our client's product offerings. This hybrid role allows for a blend of client-facing activities and remote-based planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts within the FMCG sector , ensuring high levels of customer retention and satisfaction.
- Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales targets and expand business opportunities.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
- Understand customer needs and provide effective product solutions and support.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, logistics) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities relevant to your accounts.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Account Manager or in a sales-focused role, preferably within FMCG or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and achieving sales objectives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
