Accountancy Practice Manager

A small and established accountancy practice in Woking is looking to appoint an Accountancy Practice Manager to take a key role within the business. Working closely with the Partners, this position will oversee a small team, manage client relationships and take responsibility for a varied mix of accounts and personal tax work.

Accountancy Practice Manager – About The Role

Oversee a small team and support their development

Review accounts and other work prepared by the outsourced team

Manage a portfolio of clients and act as a key point of contact

Prepare and review personal tax returns

Opportunity to get involved with trust work

Work directly with the Partners on the running of the practice

Review work to ensure accuracy and quality

Identify and improve processes across the practice

Help train and develop members of the team

Support the Partners with wider business and growth plans

The successful candidate will have:

ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred, although QBE candidates will be considered

Previous experience within an accountancy practice

Strong accounts and personal tax knowledge

Experience reviewing work and maintaining quality standards

Good client management and communication skills

A hands-on approach and the confidence to take ownership

Experience supervising or supporting junior team members

An interest in developing their trust knowledge would be advantageous
