Location: Elland, West Yorkshire

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE An established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an Accountant to join its friendly and professional team in Elland. This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT Level 4 qualified Accountant with ideally 2 years' post-qualification experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive practice environment. Applications are also welcomed from candidates with more extensive practice experience and strong client-facing skills. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

• Produce personal, partnership and corporation tax returns.

• Prepare VAT returns and financial statements.

• Liaise with clients to resolve queries and gather information.

• Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines for accounts and tax submissions.

• Maintain accurate client records and support company secretarial duties.

• Identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients.

• Support junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement across the practice. The Ideal Candidate:

• AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent).

• Minimum of 2 years' accountancy practice experience post qualification.

• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.

• Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.

• Confident communicator with a proactive and professional approach.

• Experience using IRIS software would be advantageous but is not essential.
