The OpportunityThis role is suitable for a Part-Qualified Accountant, Qualified by Experience (QBE) Accountant, or Fully Qualified Accountant with previous experience managing a portfolio of clients within an accountancy practice environment.This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and professional firm, offering a varied workload, client-facing responsibilities, and genuine opportunities for career development.
Key Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors
• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
• Preparing and reviewing management accounts
• Completing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements
• Preparing corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns
• Providing bookkeeping support and reviewing financial records
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients and building strong professional relationships
• Liaising with HMRC and other external stakeholders
• Providing proactive advice and support to clients on financial and business matters
• Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior team members where required

Requirements Essential

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
• Experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure

Qualifications

• Applications are welcomed from:
• ACCA, ACA or AAT Part-Qualified Accountants
• Qualified by Experience (QBE) Accountants
• Fully Qualified Accountants (ACCA, ACA or equivalent)

• Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks
• Experience reviewing the work of junior staff
