About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly organized and proactive Accounts Administrator to join their busy finance team in Wolverhampton . This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the company's financial operations, including managing ledgers, processing payments, and assisting with financial reporting. You will work closely with the Accounts Manager and other team members to ensure all accounting tasks are completed accurately and on time. The position is based in our client's modern offices, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales and purchase ledgers.
- Process invoices, credit notes, and expense claims.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
- Support the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings.
- Manage supplier and customer accounts, resolving queries promptly.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an accounts administration or bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- AAT qualification or equivalent would be an advantage.
