Accounts Assistant (Immediate start)

Accounts Assistant – Temporary Location: Ellesmere Port Industry: Manfacturing Contract: Temporary – long-term sickness cover We are recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a well-established metal manufacturing company in Ellesmere Port. This temporary position will provide long-term sickness cover within a busy finance team. It is ideal for someone with strong accounts experience who can quickly adapt to a new working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing purchase invoices, credit notes and supplier payments
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and general ledger tasks
• Responding to finance queries
• Providing general administrative support to the accounts team What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or in a similar role
• Good knowledge of core accounting processes
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Previous temporary or contract experience is preferred
• Confidence using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
