Accounts Assistant

An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a growing specialist insurance business in Birmingham, working closely with the Financial Controller.

This role offers broad exposure across finance, including:

• Accounts payable, expenses and payment runs
• Bank reconciliations and cash management
• Month-end accounting and journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Audit and financial reporting
• Insurance accounting and regulatory reporting
• Finance controls and process improvement

About you:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger, AP or similar role
• Good understanding of basic accounting and double-entry bookkeeping
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• Proactive, reliable and keen to develop
• Accounting qualification or financial services experience is advantageous
