Accounts Coordinator/Manager £30,000 - £35,000 – Permanent – Torbay
We are looking for an experienced and organised Accounts Coordinator to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day accounts function across the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounts experience who understands the maintenance, construction or a similar industry and is confident managing a varied workload.
The Role
As Accounts Coordinator, you will oversee the day-to-day account function and ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the day-to-day accounts function
Processing and managing payroll
Preparing and submitting CIS returns
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Managing valuations and payment applications
Raising and processing invoices
Supporting year-end accounts and liaising with external accountants
Managing purchase and sales ledgers
Reconciling bank accounts and supplier/customer accounts
Monitoring outstanding payments and supporting credit control
Processing subcontractor payments and ensuring CIS compliance
Maintaining accurate financial records
Assisting with general financial administration and reporting
Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and external accountants as required
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Previous experience working within accounts
Has experience within maintenance, construction, property services or a similar industry
Is confident managing multiple areas of the accounts function
Has experience with payroll, CIS, VAT, invoicing and valuations
Is comfortable supporting year-end processes
Can use Sage
Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Is confident communicating with colleagues, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
Is reliable, proactive, and commercially aware
