We're recruiting an experienced Accounts Manager for a leading accountancy practice in Exeter , working with a varied portfolio of agricultural, rural and farming clients .

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager, Client Manager or Rural Accountant looking to take ownership of client relationships while providing high-quality accounts, tax and commercial advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of agricultural and rural clients
• Prepare, review and sign off statutory accounts and tax returns
• Provide accounting, tax and commercial advice
• Act as a trusted adviser and key point of contact for clients
• Identify opportunities to add value and introduce additional services
• Work closely with Partners, Advisers and specialist teams
• Review work and support the development of junior team members
• Manage budgets, deadlines and workflow across your portfolio
• Attend client meetings and develop a strong understanding of client businesses

About You

• ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
• Previous accountancy practice experience
• Strong accounts and tax knowledge
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Agricultural, rural or farming experience highly desirable
• Confident reviewing and signing off accounts
• Strong client relationship and communication skills
• Commercial, proactive and client-focused
• Good leadership and mentoring skills
