Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance department, working remotely from Leeds . This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the company's accounts payable function. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing supplier payments, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify a high volume of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including matching, batching, and coding invoices.
• Prepare and execute timely supplier payments via various methods (BACS, CHAPS, international wire).
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate vendor master data and ensure compliance with tax regulations (e.g., VAT).
• Respond to vendor inquiries and internal stakeholder requests in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, processing a high volume of invoices.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of the procure-to-pay process and AP best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, suitable for a remote working environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet strict deadlines.
