Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for an organised and diligent Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance operations team, remotely serving the Manchester area. This role is fundamental to ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of all supplier invoices and payments. You will be responsible for managing the procure-to-pay cycle, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation. Key Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and goods received notes.
• Manage supplier queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and ensure timely settlement of outstanding invoices.
• Reconcile supplier statements and maintain the integrity of the accounts payable ledger.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, ideally within a large organisation.
• Strong understanding of the procure-to-pay process and AP best practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a high workload accurately.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, suitable for remote interaction.
