About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead their AP function remotely. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all vendor invoices and payments. You will play a key role in maintaining strong vendor relationships, optimizing AP processes, and supervising a team to achieve departmental goals. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced AP professional to step into a supervisory role, contribute to process improvements, and work within a flexible, remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide the accounts payable team, ensuring efficient processing of invoices and payments.
- Manage the vendor onboarding process and maintain accurate vendor master data.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment runs.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the AP function.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and relevant financial regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, best practices, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a remote team.
