Accounts Semi-Senior

TPF Recruitment is supporting a well-established and growing accountancy practice with the recruitment of a Semi Senior Accountant to join their Haywards Heath team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional looking to develop their career within a supportive environment, with broad exposure across accounts, tax, VAT, management accounts and audit.

The Role

Working as part of an established accounts team, you will support a varied portfolio of clients and take increasing responsibility for the delivery of their accounting requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

Preparing financial and management accounts for a portfolio of clients

Assisting with corporation tax, personal tax and VAT returns

Supporting with tax computations

Assisting with audit assignments and fieldwork where required

Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries

Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines

Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team

Working closely with senior members of the team on client assignments

Keeping up to date with relevant accounting and tax legislation

The role provides a broad range of client exposure and the opportunity to continue developing your technical knowledge and take on greater responsibility as you progress.

RequirementsWe are looking for someone with previous experience within an accountancy practice who is either part-qualified or actively working towards AAT, ACA or ACCA, or has equivalent experience.

You will ideally have:

Previous accountancy practice experience

Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients

Exposure to tax and VAT

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Good communication and client relationship skills

The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines

A genuine interest in progressing your career within practice
