Activities Coordinator

Employment type: Part-time - 22hours per week (includes alternate weekend working)
Location: The Laurels & Pine Lodge Care Home, 33-37 Foxholes Road, Oakdale, Poole, Dorset, BH15 3NA

As an Activities Coordinator you will providestimulating and meaningful activities for our residents. You willtailor these activities , taking into account individual skills, hobbies and interests, aiming to improve the quality of life, whilst promoting and upholding our resident’s privacy, dignity and independenceat all times.

Your role is to create ahappy and caring atmosphere ; puttingresidents needs first , providing a wide range of physical, social, emotional and psychological activitiestailored to the individual . Werespect differences and recognise our staff and residents will have different needs. This is avaried role which may include youaccompanying residents to the local country fair , leading achair exercise class,reminiscing with a resident about their childhood holidays, ordoing arts and crafts .

No previous experience is required for this role as we willprovide full training . This role would be suited to you if youenjoy leading and organising activities , areorganised, you aresociable, active , lovingbringing people together .
