About the Role
Our client is looking for a talented and driven Actuarial Analyst to join their innovative insurance company in Manchester . This role is integral to the company's financial health, involving complex data analysis, risk modelling, and pricing strategies for various insurance products. You will work closely with senior actuaries and other departments to develop and implement actuarial models that support business decisions and ensure regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and financial forecasting.
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, assess risks, and provide insights for product development and pricing strategies.
- Prepare actuarial reports and presentations for management, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and product management teams to support business initiatives.
- Monitor the performance of insurance products and recommend adjustments to pricing and reserving methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant actuarial standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Progress towards actuarial qualifications (e.g., exams passed with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL).
- Experience with actuarial modelling software and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
