About the Role
Our client is searching for a talented and ambitious Actuarial Analyst to join their team on a fully remote basis. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of actuarial models, pricing structures, and financial forecasts for various insurance products. You will work closely with underwriters, claims teams, and management to provide critical insights that drive informed business decisions and ensure financial soundness. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, testing, and validation of actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting.
- Analyze insurance data to identify trends, assess risks, and support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare reports and presentations detailing actuarial findings and recommendations for management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure actuarial assumptions align with business objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging actuarial techniques.
Requirements
- Progress towards or completion of actuarial exams (e.g., from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries).
- 1-3 years of experience in an actuarial role within the insurance industry .
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Excel, VBA, R, Python) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
