About the Role
Our client is looking for a bright and analytical Actuarial Analyst to join their dynamic team in Liverpool . This role is essential for providing quantitative analysis and insights to support pricing, reserving, and financial planning within the insurance business. You will work with complex data sets, build mathematical models, and translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for senior management. This hybrid position offers a great blend of collaborative work in the office and focused, independent work remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and capital management.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and risks relevant to insurance operations.
- Support the preparation of actuarial reports and valuations for regulatory and management purposes.
- Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and claims departments to provide actuarial support and insights.
- Stay current with actuarial best practices, software, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required by the actuarial department.
Requirements
- Progress towards an actuarial qualification (e.g., FIA, FCAA) with a solid foundation in mathematics or statistics.
- 1-3 years of experience in an actuarial role within the insurance industry.
- Proficiency in statistical software, programming languages (e.g., R, Python), and database tools (e.g., SQL).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
