About the Role

Our client is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Actuarial Assistant to support their actuarial team in Cambridge . This hybrid role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in actuarial science, working on tasks such as data analysis, model validation, and pricing support. You will work closely with senior actuaries, contributing to the assessment of risk and the development of pricing strategies for insurance products. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of actuarial models.
• Perform data analysis and validation for various actuarial projects.
• Support the pricing and reserving functions of the actuarial department.
• Prepare reports and presentations on actuarial findings.
• Contribute to the documentation of processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide actuarial insights and support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Progress towards actuarial examinations (e.g., passing initial exams).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and a willingness to learn actuarial software and programming languages (e.g., R, Python).
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
