ADHD Support Worker

Academics Agency are currently recruiting an ADHD Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to a pupil within a primary school in Eastbourne.

This role would suit someone who understands the challenges that children with ADHD and additional needs can experience in the classroom and who can provide calm, consistent and encouraging support.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with ADHD
• Supporting focus, concentration and engagement
• Helping with emotional regulation
• Supporting positive behaviour
• Encouraging independence and confidence
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience supporting children with ADHD, SEN or behavioural needs
• Patient, calm and resilient
• Able to build trusting relationships
• Consistent and confident when supporting challenging behaviour
• Previous school, childcare, youth work or support experience is desirableThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference to a child's confidence, wellbeing and experience at school.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy
