Administrator (Operations Admin and Accounts focused) - Banbury

Location: Banbury Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: Up to c. £30,000 per annum DOE

Are you confident working with Excel, large datasets and detailed information? JM&Co. Recruitment is working with a supportive Banbury-based employer to find an Operations and Accounts-focused Administrator to join their team.

This role would suit someone from an administration, operations admin or finance background. What matters most is that you are comfortable managing data and information accurately, and confident using Excel day to day.

The focus is on payroll preparation, invoicing support and client account administration - checking details carefully, updating numerical information and making sure it is correct before processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Entering, checking and updating data accurately across large datasets

• Working with Excel spreadsheets, including formatting, formulas and VLOOKUPs

• Supporting payroll preparation, timesheets and expenses

• Checking contract details, rates, terms and client information

• Supporting the invoicing process, including preparing data for Xero

• Setting up payment information for approval and maintaining accurate records

• Liaising with clients or colleagues to clarify missing information

Skills and Experience

• Background in administration, operations admin, finance or a similar data-focused role

• Confident using Excel, including VLOOKUPs, or ideally with formulas

• Comfortable managing large datasets and detailed information accurately

• Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks

• Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Experience with payroll, invoicing or Xero would be helpful, but is not essential - full training is given in the company's systems and processes. Confidence with Excel and data accuracy is essential.

This role may suit someone who has worked as an Administrator, Data Administrator, Office Administrator, Finance Administrator, Payroll Administrator, Accounts Administrator, Junior Finance Assistant or Operations Administrator in Banbury or the surrounding area, including Bicester, Brackley or Towcester.

Hours

• Full-time: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible start time of 8:30am, 9:00am or 9:30am, with a 5:00pm finish.
