Transport Services Administrator (Temporary)
Location: Cabot Park Workshop, Cabot Park, Avonmouth, BS11 0YH
Hourly Rate: £13.08
Working Pattern: Full Time
Our client, Avon and Somerset Police are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Transport Services Receptionist to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a customer-focused environment and possess a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming customers, police officers, staff, and visitors to the workshop while providing first-contact administrative support and handling queries with professionalism.
- Assisting with the collection of fleet vehicles, ensuring that all systems are updated accurately to maintain roadworthiness and legal compliance.
- Managing incoming calls related to vehicle repairs, maintenance, and job progress, while effectively monitoring appointments to optimise workshop loading.
- Collaborating with frontline customers to arrange suitable workshop appointments or roadside assistance when necessary.
- Overseeing the allocation of courtesy vehicles and maintaining accurate records in the fleet management system.
- Completing necessary pre-appointment paperwork, including job cards and compliance checks, to facilitate smooth handovers to vehicle technicians.
- Ensuring safety protocols are adhered to by signing in visitors and providing site safety information.
- Inputting and managing records within the Traka key fob system and issuing fuel bearer cards for vehicles in transit.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in customer service, particularly face-to-face and over the phone.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer packages.
- Strong administrative skills with a sound understanding of delivering support services, preferably in remote locations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and respond effectively in emergency situations.
