We are seeking a proactive and organised Administrator to join our client’s team in Norwich on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience, excellent IT skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As an Administrator, you will provide high-quality administrative support, ensuring operational processes run efficiently. You'll work closely with colleagues, suppliers, contractors, and finance teams while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent customer service.
Duties:
- Input operational work requests onto spreadsheets and maintain accurate records.
- Raise supplier and contractor purchase orders.
- Monitor and manage shared Outlook inboxes, responding promptly to queries.
- Provide general administrative support across the team.
- Review invoices and payment applications against purchase requests.
- Update Excel spreadsheets with financial information.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and finance teams to resolve invoice and payment queries.
- Ensure sensitive information is handled securely and in line with GDPR requirements.
Skills/Experience:
- Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy as essential).
- Good organisational and time management abilities.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience working in an administrative environment.
- Experience maintaining databases and accurate records.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience managing invoices and purchase orders.
- Minute-taking experience.
- Knowledge of GDPR and handling confidential information.
- Relevant administrative qualifications (such as GCSEs or equivalent).
