Adult Support Worker

Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Adult Support Worker to join their team in Reading . Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, person-centred support to adults with diverse needs, assisting with daily living activities.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, medication support, and domestic tasks as outlined in individual support plans.
• Encourage and facilitate clients' participation in community activities, social events, and personal interests.
• Observe and accurately record clients' progress, behaviour, and any changes, escalating concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Promote independence, choice, and dignity for all clients in every aspect of care provided.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with adults, particularly those with learning disabilities or complex needs, is highly advantageous.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding principles and promoting client autonomy.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Willingness to undertake further training and professional development opportunities.
• Must be able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-in duties as required by the rota.
