Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent advocacy support to individuals, helping them express their views and wishes.
• Assist clients in understanding information, their rights, and available options.
• Support clients to participate effectively in meetings and decision-making processes.
• Help clients to access and navigate relevant services and support systems.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of advocacy activities and outcomes.
• Liaise with family members, carers, and professionals as appropriate and with client consent.
• Identify systemic issues and provide feedback to inform service improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in advocacy, support work, social care, or a related field.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Understanding of advocacy principles, confidentiality, and safeguarding.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for communication and record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
