About the Role
Our client is recruiting an innovative Aerospace Design Engineer to join their advanced engineering department in Derby . This role will involve conceptualizing, designing, and developing new aerospace components and systems, working from initial brief through to production support. You will utilize sophisticated CAD/CAE tools to create and analyze complex designs, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new aerospace components and systems using CAD software.
- Perform engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and vibration analysis, using CAE tools.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, testing, and project management.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant aerospace standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in aerospace design engineering, including CAD/CAE software proficiency.
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
