Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for aerospace applications, ensuring adherence to stringent aerospace standards and requirements.
• Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX) for creating detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Conduct thorough stress analysis , thermal analysis, and vibration analysis using FEA tools to ensure component integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with aerodynamicists, structural analysts, and systems engineers to integrate mechanical designs seamlessly.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, test procedures, and manufacturing instructions.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities for new aerospace systems in Milton Keynes .

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design within the aerospace or defense sector.
• Proficiency with industry-standard 3D CAD and CAE/FEA software packages.
• Solid understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and structural mechanics relevant to aerospace.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and certification processes in the aerospace industry.
