About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly diligent and detail-oriented Aerospace Quality Inspector to join their manufacturing facility in Reading, Berkshire . You will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured aerospace components and assemblies meet the stringent quality standards and specifications required by the industry. This critical role involves meticulous inspection of parts, documentation, and adherence to quality management systems. Working within a team dedicated to excellence, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the high reputation and safety standards of our client's aerospace products.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process work, and finished aerospace products using various measuring and testing equipment.
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality control procedures.
- Document inspection results, identify non-conformities, and initiate corrective action reports.
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure adherence to quality management systems (e.g., AS9100).
- Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in the aerospace or a related high-precision manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Experience with various inspection tools and equipment, including CMMs, micrometers, and calipers.
- Knowledge of aerospace quality standards such as AS9100.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment in Reading .
