About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and talented Aerospace Stress Engineer to join their established engineering department in Leeds . This role is critical in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of aircraft components. You will conduct detailed stress analysis and provide critical design feedback to support the development of innovative aerospace structures. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and a commitment to upholding the highest engineering standards within a collaborative, on-site team environment, contributing directly to the safety and performance of flight vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed stress analysis on aerospace structures and components using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
• Validate analysis results through testing and experimental data.
• Provide technical recommendations for design improvements to enhance structural integrity and reduce weight.
• Develop and maintain stress analysis procedures and documentation.
• Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and certification authorities.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace structural design requirements and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in aerospace stress analysis .
• Proficiency in FEA software such as NASTRAN, ANSYS, or ABAQUS.
• Strong understanding of material science, fatigue, and fracture mechanics.
• Experience with aerospace structures and composite materials is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
