Aerospace Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Systems Engineer to join their innovative team in Southampton . This role involves the design, integration, and testing of complex aerospace systems for a range of cutting-edge aircraft and related technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring that all system components work harmoniously and meet stringent performance, safety, and reliability requirements. Working within a collaborative environment, you will contribute to the full lifecycle of aerospace systems, from initial concept through to final deployment, playing a vital role in shaping future aerospace technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate complex aerospace systems , including avionic, propulsion, and structural systems.
• Perform system analysis, modeling, and simulation to predict performance and identify potential issues.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and documentation for system validation and verification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, software) to ensure seamless system integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the development and testing phases.
• Ensure all designs and processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as DO-178C and ARP4754 .

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in aerospace systems engineering , with a strong understanding of system design principles.
• Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, SysML).
• Experience with integration, testing, and validation of complex aerospace systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, capable of working effectively in a hybrid team structure.
