Aerospace Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and analytical Aerospace Systems Engineer to join their advanced engineering team in Cardiff . Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop aerospace systems, including propulsion, avionics, structural, or control systems, from concept through to deployment.
• Integrate various subsystems, ensuring seamless interoperability and optimal performance of the complete system.
• Conduct rigorous simulations, analyses, and testing to validate system design and performance against specifications.
• Develop and maintain detailed system documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and test plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during development, testing, and operational phases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace systems design, development, or integration.
• Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies and tools (e.g., DOORS, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Strong understanding of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, control theory, or structural mechanics as applied to aerospace.
• Experience with simulation software and hardware-in-the-loop testing is highly desirable for this role in Cardiff .
