After School Club Assistant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and energetic After School Club Assistant to join their team in Bradford . You will be responsible for supervising and engaging primary school-aged children in a variety of fun and educational activities after school hours. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about childcare, enjoy working with children, and can contribute to a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment. You will work under the guidance of the Club Leader, ensuring the children have a positive and enjoyable experience in a structured setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise children aged 4-11 years during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Organise and lead a range of stimulating games, crafts, and recreational activities.
• Assist with snack preparation and ensure a healthy and balanced diet is offered.
• Support children with homework if required, fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
• Maintain a clean and tidy environment within the club setting.
• Communicate effectively with the Club Leader, parents, and children, reporting any concerns promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school or club setting.
• A positive, enthusiastic, and responsible attitude towards childcare.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• A passion for supporting children's development and enjoyment after school hours in Bradford .
