After School Club Leader

About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and organised After School Club Leader to manage their program in Sheffield . This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the after-school club, ensuring a safe, fun, and engaging environment for primary school-aged children. You will lead a team of assistants, plan and deliver a range of stimulating activities, and liaise with parents and school staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and a passion for providing positive experiences for children outside of school hours, ensuring their well-being and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the after-school club.
• Plan, organise, and deliver a diverse range of age-appropriate activities (e.g., arts, crafts, sports, homework help).
• Ensure the safety, welfare, and safeguarding of all children attending the club.
• Supervise and support a team of after-school club assistants.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff.
• Manage administrative tasks, including registration, attendance, and communication.

Requirements

• Experience in childcare, youth work, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is desirable.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
• First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
