About the Role
Our client is seeking an energetic and responsible After School Club Leader to manage their program in Plymouth . This role focuses on providing a safe, fun, and stimulating environment for children aged 4-11 after school hours. You will be responsible for organising and leading a variety of engaging activities, ensuring children's well-being, and communicating effectively with parents. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with children and contributing to their positive development outside of school hours in the Plymouth community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and lead a diverse range of activities including sports, arts and crafts, and homework support.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children attending the club, adhering to safeguarding policies.
- Supervise children effectively, managing behaviour positively and promoting social skills.
- Liaise with parents and guardians regarding their child's attendance, behaviour, and any concerns.
- Maintain a welcoming and stimulating environment within the club setting.
- Manage daily administration, including registration and record-keeping.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an after-school or youth club setting.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude.
