About the Role

Our client is looking for a vibrant and enthusiastic After School Club Playworker to join their team in Plymouth . This part-time role involves providing a safe, stimulating, and fun environment for primary school-aged children after school hours. You will facilitate a range of engaging activities, support children's social and emotional development, and ensure their well-being. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a variety of creative, recreational, and educational activities for children aged 4-11.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in attendance, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Supervise children during snack times and manage behaviour effectively in a group setting.
• Communicate with parents and carers regarding their child's experience at the club.
• Assist with the setup and tidying of the club space daily.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school or club setting, is desirable.
• A passion for working with children and fostering their development.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles.
