After School Club Playworker

About the Role

We are recruiting for an energetic and responsible After School Club Playworker to join a dynamic team in Reading . This role involves providing a safe, fun, and stimulating environment for primary school children after school hours. You will be responsible for organising a range of activities, including games, crafts, and homework support, ensuring children have a positive and enjoyable experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for part-time work during term time. You will play a crucial role in supporting working parents by providing reliable childcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with children aged 5-11 in a safe and friendly setting.
• Plan and deliver a variety of fun and age-appropriate after school activities .
• Assist children with their homework and reading.
• Provide snacks and ensure children's basic needs are met.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and safeguarding policies in Reading .

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures in childcare.
• Must be able to commit to the afternoon hours during term time.
