About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and responsible After School Club Playworker to join their team in Sheffield . This part-time role involves supervising and engaging primary school-aged children after school hours, providing a safe, fun, and stimulating environment. You will be responsible for organising and facilitating a variety of activities, ensuring the children's well-being and enjoyment. This is an ideal position for someone with a passion for working with children and who enjoys a dynamic and rewarding role outside of traditional school hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise children aged 4-11 years during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Plan and deliver a range of engaging games, crafts, and recreational activities.
• Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported.
• Assist with light snack preparation and ensure children's dietary needs are met.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's attendance and any relevant information.
• Maintain a tidy and organised club space, ensuring all equipment is stored safely.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage children in various activities and manage group dynamics.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
• Reliable, punctual, and possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
