After School Club Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and responsible After School Club Supervisor to manage their popular club based in Bristol . This part-time role involves overseeing the daily operations of the after-school program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and fun environment for primary school-aged children. You will be responsible for organising activities, managing staff, communicating with parents, and ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to. We are looking for an individual with strong leadership skills, a genuine passion for working with children, and the ability to create a positive and supportive atmosphere after school hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the after-school club, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
• Plan and deliver a diverse range of age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, and homework support.
• Manage and support a team of playworkers, delegating tasks and ensuring effective performance.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents regarding their child's attendance, behaviour, and any concerns.
• Ensure the club environment is safe, clean, and well-resourced, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Manage registration, attendance records, and petty cash for the club.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in an after-school or holiday club setting.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A passion for child development and creating positive experiences for children.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety procedures.
• Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 in Playwork, Childcare, or Youth Work are highly desirable.
