Our client is seeking a strategic Agricultural Business Development Manager to identify and pursue new opportunities for growth within the agricultural sector, based remotely but with a focus on the Cambridge region. This role involves market analysis, identifying potential partnerships, developing new product or service offerings, and driving revenue growth. You will be instrumental in expanding the company's reach and influence in the competitive agricultural landscape of Cambridgeshire and beyond, leveraging your industry knowledge and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, potential clients, and strategic partnerships within the agricultural industry.
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, cooperatives, suppliers, and industry associations.
- Prepare and present business proposals, pitches, and commercial agreements.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., R&D, operations, marketing) to ensure successful implementation of new business initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or commercial management within the agricultural sector.
- Strong understanding of agricultural markets, trends, and challenges.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop strategic business plans and execute them effectively.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and closing new business opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Marketing, or a related field.
