About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and knowledgeable Agricultural Compliance Officer to join their team in Nottingham . This role is vital for ensuring that all farming operations adhere to national and international regulations, environmental standards, and best practice guidelines. You will be responsible for conducting audits, developing compliance policies, and providing training to staff on regulatory requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of agricultural law and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of operational integrity and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs and policies across all agricultural operations.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., environmental, food safety, animal welfare).
- Investigate compliance issues, recommend corrective actions, and track their implementation.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving agricultural legislation and ensure the company remains compliant.
- Provide training and guidance to farm managers and staff on compliance requirements and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in agricultural compliance, regulatory affairs, or environmental management.
- In-depth knowledge of UK agricultural regulations, environmental legislation, and food safety standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, report-writing, and interpersonal skills.
