About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Agricultural Data Analyst to join their expanding team in Reading . This role is pivotal in leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making across their diverse agricultural operations. You will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets related to crop yields, soil conditions, weather patterns, and farm economics. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data science tools, and a foundational understanding of agricultural principles, contributing to more efficient and sustainable farming practices through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and consolidate agricultural data from various sources, including farm sensors, yield monitors, weather stations, and historical records.
• Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy and integrity for analysis.
• Perform statistical analysis and develop predictive models to forecast crop yields, identify risks, and optimize resource allocation.
• Create insightful visualizations and reports to communicate findings to farm managers, agronomists, and other stakeholders.
• Identify trends and patterns in agricultural data to inform operational improvements and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to enhance data collection systems and analytical capabilities.

Requirements

• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Agriculture, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in data analysis, with proficiency in tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with agricultural concepts, crop science, or farm management is a strong advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
