About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Agricultural Data Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in transforming raw agricultural data into actionable insights that drive decision-making for farm operations and research initiatives. You will work with a variety of data sources, including sensor readings, yield monitors, weather patterns, and market trends, to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and from our Sunderland office, fostering collaboration and innovation. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from diverse agricultural sources.
• Develop and implement statistical models and algorithms to identify trends and patterns in agricultural production.
• Create insightful reports, visualizations, and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with agronomists, farm managers, and researchers to understand data needs and deliver relevant insights.
• Monitor key performance indicators and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
• Contribute to the development of data-driven strategies for sustainable agriculture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Agronomy, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst , preferably within the agricultural sector.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, or SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in both a remote and an office environment.
